This glaze will produce a very dramatic effect when reduced after the raku firing. Fire to Cone 05 (1911° F, 1044° C). Once temperature is reached, turn off the kiln and let it cool to about 1700° F (944° C) before pulling the pieces out of the kiln with tongs. Glaze effects will vary from piece to piece, as raku is an unpredictable medium and is affected by many variables. Marks from tongs and other reduction materials are characteristics of raku. Not dinnerware safe. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.
